I loved Main Hoon Shahid Afridi – starring the bold, Mathira, the ever young, Mahnoor Baloch, the ever versatile Humayun Saeed and the talented Noman Habib

Co-producer of this brilliant film, Shahzad Nasib is hitting the silver screen again after almost two years with not one but two films.

The action-drama stars Humayum Saeed and Iman Ali and has the working title of Wasal. It will start shooting in May and has a tentative release date of winter 2015 according to Nasib.

The film revolves around a boxer who is autistic. Directed by Hamza Ansari and written by Imran Hussain the producers are Shahzad and Humayun Saeed.

Iman Ali is making an awesome comeback. A few films we know that Ali is currently up to, are the Ali Azmat and Bilal Ashraf starer rom-com, Jhol (working title), Fahad Mustafa and Sanam Saeed starer periodic drama, Mah e Meer based on the famous poet, Meer Taqi Meer and now Wasal! Sources close to Iman say that she also up to some other film projects.

Producer Nasib, of course, is also working on, Jawani Phir Nahi Aani. The film is sure to create quite the buzz with a cast that includes Hamza Abbasi and his not so politically correct statuses, fiery Mehwish Hayat and Ahmad Ali Butt who can Instagram his way in to the news.

Directed by Nadeem Baig and written Vasay Choudhry (who also wrote Main Hoon Shahid Afridi) the film is a co-production between him and Humayun Saeed’s production house.

The film’s cast includes Saeed himself, Vasay Choudhry, Ahmad Ali Butt, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Sarwat Gilani, Uzma Khan, Aisha Khan, Mehwish Hayat, Sohai Ali Abro with the legendary Javed Sheikh, Ismail Tara and … Bushra Ansari! This rom-com is all set to release on Eid ul Adha with it’s teasers hitting the social media on the 31st of March.

Humayun-Shahzad films will for sure take the awaam, critics and the box office by storm. They have proven themselves as great filmmakers with their first venture together and hoping that they improve with time.

This jodi is all set to help to establish film industry and make it stronger.
