Imran Khan Appeals Pakistan To Boycott Geo TV and Jang Group
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has announced to boycott Geo TV and Jang Group.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Imran Khan blamed that Geo and Jang Group were fully involved in rigging during May 11, 2013 general elections.
He said that Nawaz Sharif’s victory speech was aired by Geo News when only 18 percent election result was announced. He said Jang Group and Geo TV influenced the election results. The PTI chief said he boycotts Geo TV and Jang Group and none of his party representative would participate in any talks show or other programme organised by Jang Group. Imran Khan said that Jang Group promotes ‘Aman Ki Asha on eastern border of the country whereas it urges to fight a war on the western border.
He asked former chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to explain whether he had delivered a lecture to the returning officers to rig the elections. Imran Khan said that PTI would announce its next strategy in Islamabad on May 11.
Earlier on Wednesday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan said that he doesn’t desire midterm elections, and that no one can derail democracy.
Addressing the opening ceremony of a school and media and Doranpur, Khan said that historical rigging was done in May 11 elections. He said that his party has prepared a white paper based on 2100 pages. He said that his party will give up on 72 constituencies if their concerns on 4 constituencies are proven wrong.
Imran Khan said that PTI never talked about midterm elections. Answering a question, he said that taking only Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif to official trips gives the impression that Pakistan is ruled by a monarchy. Must Watch and Share!
