Shahid Afridi 7 Sixes Highlights Asia Cup 2014 against Bangladesh
Sensational Afridi did it again for Pakistan. After stopping the flying Indians, Afridi today demolished the Bangla dream by hitting all over. Afridi assault was too much for Bangladesh. After putting 325 runs on board, Bangladesh team was in driver’s seat. It was the highest ever total for Bangladesh against any team.
After Ahmed Shehzad’s calm and composed ton Pakistan was in stable condition, however, the win looked quite difficult. It was a mountain task for Pakistan to score over 11 runs per over. But there is nothing called impossible in the dictionary of Shahid Afridi. His 59 runs innings smashed the hopes of Bangladesh. He hit 7 sixes and 2 fours in his 25 balls innings to take Pakistan almost home.
Bangladesh was trying to beat Pakistan on the home turf. Earlier Anamaul Haque’s (100 from 132) and half centuries from Monimul (51) and skipper Mushfiqur (51) set the stage for Bangladesh. However, hard hitting at end of the innings from Shakib Al Hasan (44 from 16) took Bangladesh to 325 runs.
Chasing the highest ever total in the history of Pakistan Cricket, Afridi has shown the selectors yet again that why he should be in the team. Pakistan now will meet Sri Lanka in the finals of Asia Cup on March 8th at Dhaka.
