In the second episode of the drama serial Tum Kon Piya, Elma’s love brings Ramish to her home and things start to go high between the two.
Although no direct conversation takes place between the two but expressions speak for themselves.
While there is no denying that Maha Malik has enticed us with great writing earlier, but in this serial her camaraderie with her pen has been exceptional. The well-written dialogues show her command over Urdu diction and the apt usage of local proverbs makes the script crisp.
Overall, the drama has all the markings to be the next big thing on television. Each character is played beautifully – be it Imran Abbas and Ayeza Khan who are convincing as love struck Romeo and Juliet or Ali Abbas as a weak and suppressed son of dominating Sharafat Khala.
Elma is shown as being a person who lives in the world of dreams and is a very sensitive girl. She is even seen having poetic conversations with herself. The high point is when Ramish is seen by Elma as he expresses his love for her but this all is a dream.
However, things take a twist as parents of Ramish want to choose his life partner but when asked and talked about it Ramish refuses the offer and says he already likes someone.
Shrafat Khala is shown as being a strong character who will not allow Zarbab to marry forcefully. Zarbab is one of the weak characters in the serial who does not know what to do. Zarbab shows not concerns over what people are talking about even if it is against him. He prefers walking away from issues rather than confronting them.
The amazing thing about the serial is the fact that the dialogues are beautiful and what backs all this are strong performances by the actors.
Elma and Zarbab’s story is something everyone is waiting for which makes the next episode all the more awaited for.
