Veena’s husband pleaded with me to help him clarify Veena’s anti-india Tweet : Mahesh Bhatt

Veena Malik’s husband Asad Bashir contacted Mahesh Bhatt to clarify Veena Malik’s False Anti-India Tweet. He said that it was made by Prashanth her ex manager who hacked her twitter account and made that tweet.

Mahesh bhatt’s response to Times Of India regarding this issue:

First of all, let me clarify this, that I have no role to play in Veena Malik’s either coming to India, or finding a name in the entertainment space. Yes, I was the person who brought Meera, another Pakistani actress here, was the first person to bridge the cultural gap between India and Pakistan and kick-start the cultural peace and exchange process that has taken a leaping curve in building relationship with our neighbouring country in the realm of performing arts.

I have never met Veena. I have spoken to her over the phone when she was going through a crisis earlier, but I have not played any role in making her part of the entertainment space in India. I think it was because of the television that she could be recognised at all. If she has made a statement as shocking as this, it is indeed heart breaking to the people who welcomed her with open arms. This is, I would say, a retrograde moment for the cultural peace process that has been strengthening between the two countries. That such people do not have a shred of gratitude for the affection and warmth shown to her, is a telling comment on her.

Pakistani Celebrities React To Veena Malik’s Tweet

On Saturday, the social media reacted strongly to reports of Veena’s alleged anti-India tweet.

Farhan Saeed, former member of the Pakistani band Jal, told us,

“It’s really sad if she did so, but then what else do we expect from Veena Malik? Anything that keeps her in the news. I think we artistes should be a bridge between the two countries, especially the ones who work on both sides of the border. But coming from Veena, it is surely a publicity stunt.”

Sunny Ghanshyam, lead guitarist of Raeth, remarked,

“What is she all about? No one knew who Veena Malik was before she came to India. It’s only after she got a chance in Bollywood that she got her recognition here in India. She should be grateful and should owe her success to India. I’m sure she got this rishta out of what she is today or else it would have been really difficult for her to travel to the US. Sad how people change over times they need to respect the people and the place.”

Adds Hadiqa Kiani, pop singer and renowned makeup artist,

“It’s not about India or Pakistan . Human beings are the same everywhere. We must think beyond racism.”

Shahnaz Khan made a splash in the popular Pakistan TV series Alpha, Bravo Charlie. She made her debut in Jamal Shah’s controversial art production “Kal” making her mark as an up and coming new-comer at the young age of 16. Working alongside Jamal Shah and Quetta TV’s Asif Shah, she managed to hold her own and make an impact. She was later singled out by Madiha Gohar to act in Shahid Nadeem’s series based on PIA “Uraan” that was shot on locale in several countries.

Shahnaz Khan, again held her own opposite veteran actress Madiha Gohar and Faryal Gohar in the Kenya episodes. She is however most recognized for her portrayal of the character of Shahnaz in Alpha Bravo Charlie, which earned her overnight superstar status and the people’s choice award for 1998. For a young 19 year old at the time she recorded ABC, she demonstrated spectacular acting capability.

Shahnaz Khan moved to the USA in 1998 after getting married to Khwaja Khurshid Anwar’s son. She has since then divorced and is currently completing a graduate degree in the United States. She now goes by the name Shahnaz Khawaja.

Veena Malik’s Anti-India Tweet Raises Anger In India

Pakistani celebrity Veena Malik refuted the media reports of tweeting anti-India sentiments on Saturday.

Earlier on Saturday, the social media reacted strongly to reports of Veena tweeting anti-India sentiments on her twitter account @iVeenaMalik.

The account first retweeted about a German student who was allegedly molested by rickshaw drivers in Lajpat Nagar, a suburb of South Delhi in India.

The retweet was followed by another tweet, ‘India sucks…..!!!’

The social media reacted strongly to the event while some termed it a publicity stunt.

However, Veena denied that the tweets were made by her.

Tweeting on her new account, @iVeenaKhan, the actress made it clear that the account from where the comment was tweeted was hacked, as reported by the media earlier on January 5.

Veena’s former Digital Manager Prashant Singh was alleged to have hacked the actress’s account and posted her personal pictures.

The account may have been hacked but it sure got the lady under media’s attention once again.

Ali Zafar has ‘No Kissing Clause’ in Bollywood

“In ‘London Paris New York’, kissing was essential in the film and so they got a body double to do it.”

Pakistani actor-singer Ali Zafar says after his first Hindi film got good response, people of Pakistan realised that it was possible for artists from the neighbouring nation to make it big in India.

Ali made his acting debut in Hindi films in 2010 with ‘Tere Bin Laden’, which was a hit. He was later seen in ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’, ‘London, Paris, New York’ and ‘Chashme Baddoor’.

“I think when my first film became a hit, people in Pakistan realised that it is possible to make it big in India. There is a misconception that every woman wears a ‘hijab’ and every man keeps a beard in Pakistan. I always think that nothing is impossible,” Ali said.

“When it comes to India I have been welcomed here with open heart. I also get lot of appreciation for the work I do here in Hindi films,” he said.

“She (wife) is very understanding. She sometimes comes down and joins me while I am here for my shoots. She likes my films… she loved me in ‘London Paris New York’. My family has always been supportive of my acting career here,” he said.

Ali disagrees that the industry favours only children of stars and not outsiders.

“It has been an interesting journey for me. At times I wonder whether I am really acting in Hindi films. Considering that I didn’t know anyone over here and more importantly, being from Pakistan there was nothing going in my favour. I could only bank on my sincerity, talent and my hard work and I guess I have been pretty successful in doing that,” Ali said.

Ali has a ‘no kissing clause’ in his contract while he does Bollywood films. “I have a clause that I won’t be kissing on screen. In ‘London Paris New York’, kissing was essential in the film and so they got a body double to do it. I obviously think about what people are going to feel like back home (Pakistan) and what they are going to think,” he said.
