The ‘Mean Girl’ actress Lindsay Lohan has created a furor about her religious status recently. The actress has believed to be converted to Islam and Muslims from around the world are flooding her twitter with congratulatory and welcoming tweets.

Lohan, who has always been vocal about her interest in Islam, has deleted her pictures and posts from social media accounts. Her Instargram bio reads, ‘Alaikum salam’, which in Arabic means ‘Peace be unto you’.

Lindsay has also been spotted carrying the holy book ‘Quran’ a couple of times and last October, she had even posted a picture of her wearing a ‘hijaab’ (headscarf) that was gifted to her by a Syrian refugee.

Now her social media cleanup has triggered news of the actress converting to Islam and Muslims from around the world are showering her with congratulatory messages.
