Hans Raj Hans converts to Islam – he is now Mohammad Yousaf
Internationally famed Sufi singer Hans Raj Hans has confirmed that he had converted to Islam (as per the online media reports). He is in Lahore (Pakistan) these days . Talking to media persons at Lahore Museum, Hans Raj Hans confirmed that he had converted to Islam and he was much proud of being a Muslim now. He also declared that his new Islamic name is Mohammad Yousaf. Mohammad Yousaf (Hans Raj Hans) showed his desire of going and visiting Madina Munawara (a Holy place of Muslims in Saudi Arabia).
The singer says that Islam is the religion of love, brotherhood and peace. He mentions that what inner peace he received after converting to Islam, he cannot explain in words. The singer also explains that in the field of singing, his name would always be Hans Raj Hans, as this is his recognition. Well, Hans Raj Hans converts to Islam is what has spread all over the web.
He said that he has closely studied Islam and after knowing the religion and listening a lot from his elders, he took the decision of converting to Islam and he is proud of his decision. In his folk singing, Sufism is always there. He loves Sufisim and Sufi poetry and has mentioned it many a time.
