Pakistan Team to play T20 Indian Champions League after four years

Chennai: Board of Cricket Control India (BCCI) has allowed Sialkot Stallions to participate in Indian Champions League.
This would be for the first time in four years that Pakistani players will play in India.
BCCI chief N Srinivasan confirmed that a team from Pakistan will play in this year’s edition of the tournament, to be held in India in September.
Analysts say that the permission is a likely outcome of talks between Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari during the latter’s visit to New Delhi.
India has been banning for one reason for another Pakistani players which has triggered a strong reaction among the players and masses simultaneously.
The Champions League Twenty20 is an international Twenty20 cricket competition between club teams from India, Australia, England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and West Indies.
The Champions League Twenty20 is chaired by Shashank Manohar, who is the President of the BCCI.
Started back in 2009, the tournament is played with format of Round-robin and knockout. The current champion of the league is Mumbai Indians with previous winners are Chennai Super Kings and New South Wales
