India vs Australia Warm-Up Match Highlights – Champions Trophy 2013
Australia were demoralized when a confident Indian side beat them by a massive 243 runs in a warm up game played at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff. India proved that they are the in-form side ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy and will take the power of beating.
MS Dhoni won the toss for India, who opted to bat first. They got off to a poor start, losing their first 5 wickets for just 55 runs. It was a devastating opening spell bowled by Starc and McKay who picked up two wickets each. Karthik and Dhoni got together in the 17th over, and proceeded to make light work of the Australia attack. The duo put on a massive 6th wicket partnership worth 211 runs, Australia perhaps making the mistake of not playing a spinner, giving them little variation in the middle overs.
Karthik was the not out batsman as India posted a huge total of 308, Karthik falling just 4 runs short of 150, making 146 from 140 balls. Dhoni was dismissed in the 47th over, scoring 91 from 77 balls. With Kohli, Kartik and Dhoni in superb form, India have a formidable top order, which can take any attack apart.
Australia opened with Mathew Wade and David Warner, dropping Watson down the order. Will be interesting to see who opens for them when the main tournament commences. Yadav bowled what many will dub the best spell of his career, removing 5 Australian batsman in the first 10 overs, his figures 5/18 from his 5 overs. He troubled them with pace, which Australian batsman are accustomed to, this makes his spell even more special. Wickets continued to tumble, Adam Voges top scoring with 23 from 49 balls.
Ishant Sharma was the next Indian pace bowler to impress, bowling a spell of 3/11 from his 5 overs. Australia bowled all out for just 65 runs, in the 24th over.
Indian will have some selection issues, trying to decide who to play in the opening encounter, whereas the Ausies will be scratching their heads, trying to find the right combination.

hope for the best in real matches…
Well don indian team and best of luck for 1st match
